Kenyan Startup Exit: Cloud9 has been acquired by HotelOnline

Kenyan experiences e-commerce startup Cloud9 has been acquired for an undisclosed amount by Hotelonline. HotelOnline is a travel technology company, providing solutions for e-commerce and digital marketing to small and medium-sized hotels in African markets. The company provides a cloud-based suite of tools for rates and reservations management, AI-driven dynamic pricing, and distribution to online marketing channels, such as Online Travel Agents, Global Distribution Systems, and metasearch engines. HotelOnline has been leading e-commerce and digital marketing enabler for hotels in Emerging Markets. Founded in 2014, it has helped more than 1,500 hotels across 18 markets in Africa and the Middle East increase their online revenues.
